How to Refill Canon MegaTank Printer Ink Using GI71 ink – Step-by-Step Guide

Identify the Correct Canon Ink Tank

Before refilling, identify the correct Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow ink tanks. Always match the refill ink colour with the corresponding tank.

Step 1: Open the ink tank cover and identify the correct colour tank: Black, Cyan, Magenta, or Yellow.

Step 2: Open the cap of the selected tank and confirm that the ink colour matches the tank

Step 3: Align the GI-71 bottle nozzle with the filling inlet and place it securely into the port.

Step 4: Allow the ink to flow into the tank and stop when it reaches the upper/MAX level. Avoid overfilling or squeezing the bottle.

Step 5: Remove the bottle carefully, close the tank cap and cover, then take a test print to check the flow of ink.
